17 Apr Oops! I did it again.
The wreckage that he had caused while Ayesha had been away was substantial – monetarily and, for her, sentimentally.
She sighed and got around to cleaning the mess. It was cushions and rugs all strewn around, a broken vase her best friend had gifted her on her twenty-fifth birthday, a handmade windchime she had left out for the glue to dry, and a brand-new pair of shoes she had left out by mistake. Add to that everything that was on the bathroom countertop. How the hell had he managed to access the high countertop, Ayesha wondered.
She walked back to the living room, with full intentions of giving him a dressing down. She set her bag down purposefully and walked over to the corner where he had slunk off. She’d not let him weaken her resolve with his puppy eyes this time.
And yet, with his tail tucked between his hind legs, at the pleading look in his big, brown eyes, Ayesha’s heart melted. She scratched below his ears, prompting to prance around with gleeful joy. His wagging tail sent the blue ceramic bowl kept atop the side table crashing to the ground.

Posted at 21:36h, 17 AprilThis is so good! I was chuckling as I read it because I knew the culprit had to be four-legged and would lay on the charm. I have been through it myself with dogs and cats.

Posted at 21:46h, 17 AprilI don’t have a dog but I would really love one. This is probably the closest I come to having a pet. 😀 Thank you for reading and commenting. 😊
