05 Feb The Death Ride
The shrill screams of the passengers rang out piercingly through the still air, as the car hurtled down the steep slope. They were gasping for breath; hearts in their mouth, terror writ large on their faces.
They drew a few sharp breaths raggedly, as their car came to level ground and seemingly slowed down a bit. Maybe they wouldn’t die after all.
A few moments later; they heard a loud snap and watched horrified, as a section of the path a few meters ahead caved and disappeared into oblivion.
The car rolled down another descending slope, picking up speed again. The roar of the engine was deafening and almost drowned their panicked screams.
Outside, the attendant sighed and warily watched yet another excited bunch of giggly kids line up near the entrance.
